The mill is situated in idyllic rural surroundings with water meadows to the north and south. There are a number of signed walks around the mill and leaflets can be picked up from the shop when the mill is open or downloaded here . There are plenty of opportunities to see wildlife along the river Ver including: kingfishers, herons, water voles, little egret and red kites.
