The volunteers are responsible for all aspects of the mill’s day to day running and upkeep. Jobs we undertake include: Milling, screening to produce white flour, hoisting grain and flour on the sack hoist, bagging flour, maintaining the mill machinery, running the mill shop, helping with tours and group visits and running the mill engine. Milling takes place every Sunday with most other work being done on a Tuesday morning or Friday morning. Volunteers come from a wide variety of backgrounds and age groups. No particular qualifications are necessary; just an interest in the mill and a degree of physical fitness! If you are interested in joining the mill team then please click here.
